Mission Statement
Hook and Barrel is owned by Heidi’s Corner Restaurant Group where our mission is to create memorable experiences with family and friends through our passion for Southern hospitality and delicious food.
Where is Hook & Barrel located?
Hook & Barrel is located at 8014 North Kings Highway at Heidi’s Corner in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
What type of cuisine does Hook & Barrel serve?
Hook & Barrel is a fish and wine house, so we are known for our seafood dishes, but we also have a variety of beef, chicken, pork and vegetarian dishes. Our menus change seasonally to keep things fresh. Some of our popular dishes that stay on the menu year-round are braised short ribs and gluten free crab cakes. We also feature a fresh catch daily.
Is Hook & Barrel open year-round?
Hook & Barrel is open year-round Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
What dining areas are available at Hook & Barrel?
Hook & Barrel has a main dining room, a wine room for private events, an outdoor patio and our new enclosed patio called The Breezeway. Seating is also available in our bistro dining room.
Reservations & Dining
Do you accept reservations?
Reservations are recommended at Hook & Barrel, but not required. Reservations can be made through Resy or by calling 843-839-5888.
Do you accommodate large parties?
Please contact our management team directly at 843-839-5888 for availability and arrangements for larger groups or special events.
Do you offer outdoor seating?
Guests can enjoy outdoor dining on our of our porches, weather-permitting. We also have an enclosed patio that is temperature-controlled year-round.
Is there a dress code?
Resort/business casual is appropriate. Shirts and shoes are required. Bathing suits must be covered and tank tops for men are discouraged for dinner service.
What are your most popular menu items?
Bourbon Bacon, Oysters ala Heidi, Fresh Catch, Peel & Eat Shrimp, Roasted Chicken and Braised Beef Short Ribs are our most ordered items. Don’t forget about desserts that are homemade on property by our sister restaurant, Croissants Bistro & Bakery.
Do you offer gluten-free options?
Yes, gluten-free selections are available. Guests with dietary restrictions should inform their server when ordering.
Do you offer vegetarian options?
Yes, we have several vegetarian options on our menu year-round.
Do you have a children’s menu?
Yes, the children’s menu is available for guests ages 12 and under. The children’s dinner menu includes items like chicken, shrimp and mac and cheese.
What time is dinner service?
We seat for dinner service Monday through Thursday 4pm-9pm and Friday and Saturday 4pm-9:30pm.
Do you serve breakfast and lunch?
Hook & Barrel does not serve breakfast and lunch, but breakfast and lunch is available on property at our sister restaurant, Croissants Bistro & Bakery.
Parking & Accessibility
Is parking available?
Yes, complimentary parking is available for restaurant guests, including handicap accessible parking spots near the entrance.
Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Hook & Barrel is wheelchair accessible, with designated handicap parking and same-level dining areas to accommodate guests with mobility needs.

Absolutely. Hook & Barrel is a popular destination for birthdays, anniversaries, wedding events, group gatherings and other celebrations.

Does Hook & Barrel allow pets?
Hook & Barrel is a pet-free establishment, however, trained service animals are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines.
Do you allow strollers in the restaurant?
To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, strollers are not permitted in our dining rooms. We have high chairs available for our younger guests.
